　　【讲词】 smaller economic firms如果译成“更小的经济公司”显然不适合，因为汉语没有这个概念。这里的economic有“实业”的意思，因此应该译成“小型企业”。

　　national businessmen译成“国家的商人”会让人不知所云，怀疑是不是“官商”，但实际是指民族资本家。

　　【讲词】 vs.是versus的简写形式，一般表示“对比，比较”。例如：freedom of information versus invasion of privacy(信息自由与侵犯私权)，restriction versus opposition to restriction(限制与反限制相对)。在体育比赛中，versus表示“对抗”，China versus Japan(中国对日本)。在法律中，versus表示“对簿公堂”，the plaintiff versus the defendant(原告对被告)。
