1. How do you use your time when your boss is out of office?

　　回答技巧：突出自己 initiative, reliability and ability to think beyond expectations 的职业性格。老板在和不在一个样，必要时，举例说明。

　　Whether my boss is in office or not, I always keep busy, but when my boss is gone, my routine changes and I'm able to do proactive projects. For example, I took all the files, one section at a time, and put them on the computer. There were hundreds of files and it took a lot of hours, but it has really paid off. Now, when my boss is going out of town I can load files on a disk or his laptop, and he doesn't have to worry about the prospect of losing files. He was thrilled with my extra efforts.

　　提问目的：了解应聘者对应征职位的理解能力。

　　回答技巧：突出自己对职位的理解，并说明自己在这个方面的优点。要明确自己的观点，而且说出为什么，举例说明时，要用数字作为旁证，提高说服力。

　　To have a combination of technical and business knowledge and to be very results-oriented. My past record shows that I have those qualities and more. Because of my business acumen and technical know-how, the teams I have worked accomplished outstanding results, including booking more than $50 million in online revenue.

　　3. Why did you choose this career?

　　提问目的：了解应聘者对职业的理解能力。

　　回答技巧：突出自己对职业的理解，而不是职位的理解，这是这个问题与上个问题的主要区别，实际上是对自己职业生涯设计的理论解释。一般说来，工作经验，工作态度等都是很好的回答，建议在归纳的时候用比较坚定的语句突出自己对该职业的兴趣和信心。

　　回答范例( sales为例)

　　My past experiences have shown me that I enjoy facing and overcoming the challenge of making a sale. Without a doubt, once I have practiced my presentation and prepared myself for objections, I feel very confident approaching people I don't know and convincing them that they need my product. Lastly, I like sales because my potential for success is limited only by how much of myself I dedicate toward my goal. If any profession is founded on self-determinism, it surely must be sales.

　　提问目的：对应征者何时进入该类职业的考查

　　回答技巧：西方国家认为兴趣对职业发展起着非常重要的作用。因此，强调兴趣是你进入该职业的首要因素，并把这个兴趣产生的时间定为受教育阶段是非常自然而然的事情。

　　回答范例( IT为例)

　　I knew that I wanted to pursue information systems technology about my sophomore year in college. It was then that I realized that my that my hobby (computers) was taking up most of my time. My favorite courses were IT courses. I also realized that I was doing computer-oriented work-study that I enjoyed so much I would have done it for free.
