新浪2008年成功推出首届中国教育盛典，被誉为教育界最具影响力的年度网络盛宴；2009年再度重装上阵举办的“2009年中国教育盛典”更是取得了圆满成功。前两届教育盛典的圆满落幕，在行业内外好评如潮，同时推动了中国教育行业的不断发展，现如今，“教育盛典”已经成为独具优势的新浪品牌。11月20日，由新浪教育频道举办的“教育·责任·未来--新浪2010中国教育盛典”大型活动开启。本活动以“年终盘点”为方向，综合回顾这一年来教育行业的热点新闻人物、关键事件，并选出群众心目中最具代表性的各类精英教育人物、单位、机构。以下为此次活动的提名机构简介：

　　对外经济贸易大学地处中国首都北京，创建于1951年，隶属于国家教育部，是一所以国际经济与贸易、国际经济法、金融学、工商管理、商务外语为学科特色和专业优势的全国重点大学。1997年成为首批国家高等教育“211工程”重点建设高校。学校现设有16个学院、并设有研究生部和体育部，共有34个本科专业、39个硕士点、15个博士点、2个博士后流动站、2个国家级重点学科和1个国家级人文社科研究基地。学校的国际贸易学、国际法学为国家级重点学科。学校现有各类学生1万余人，其中在校本科生7700余人，研究生2800余人，来华留学2800余人(其中学历生1800余人)。

　　招收留学生的主要专业

　　对外经济贸易大学具有博士、硕士、学士三级学位授予权，为留学生提供包括经济、贸易、金融、企业管理、法律、语言、电子商务、商务英语等学科的50多个专业的本科、硕士和博士学位课程，其中应用经济学、工商管理(IMBA)、国际商务、法学、金融学、精算与风险管理等7个硕士研究生专业及5个本科专业可提供全英文授课。国际学院是我校来华留学生教育相关事务的归口管理单位，承担着招生宣传、项目开发、签证管理、学籍管理、心理咨询、学生活动、突发事件处理、学生实习、校内住宿等工作。同时，国际学院还提供包括本科预科、基础汉语、商贸汉语、强化汉语在内的多种语言培训项目。此外，国际学院还开设有关中国经济和文化(中、外文授课)等内容的进修课程。

　　University of International Business & Economics (UIBE)

　　Introduction

　　The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE)， located in the Northeastern part of China’s capital city -Beijing，was founded in 1951. UIBE is one of the “Project 211” key universities, and a multi-disciplinary university specialized in the fields of economics, management, liberal arts and law, and competitive in the subjects such as international trade, law (international law)， finance, business management and foreign languages (business languages).UIBE has became a governmental program aimed at turning about 100 Chinese universities into exceptionally high quality academic institutions in the new century and is directly subordinated to the Ministry of Education of China. UIBE consists of 16 academic schools, Graduate Department and Department of Physical Education. At present, UIBE has 2 Post-Doctor Work Stations, 1 Doctorial Degree Grant Station in first-level discipline, 15 Doctorial Degree Grant Stations in second-level disciplines, 39 Master Degree Grant Stations, 34 undergraduate majors. UIBE has a total enrollment of near 13,000 full-time schooling students including more than 2,800 international students from over 120 countries。

　　Main Majors and Programs for International Students

　　UIBE can offer over 50 majors in Bachelor, Master, and Doctoral degree programs for all international students, including International Trade, Finance, Business Management, Law, Language, E-business, Business English, etc., Among those majors, 5 bachelor programs and 7 master programs including Applied Economics (AE)， Finance (IF)， International Business (IB)， International MBA (IMBA)， Law (ILLM)， and Actuarial Science and Risk Management (ASRM) can totally offered in English. School of International Education (SIE) of UIBE is specially engaged in recruiting international students for UIBE’s degree and non-degree study programs, and provides relative services. After the foreign students become one of members of the school, SIE takes the responsibility of the school register management, the visa services, the educational administration and the daily life consultation. Except the degree programs, SIE also offers language training programs, including the Chinese Language and Business Chinese at different levels, and Advance Studies on Chinese Economy and Culture (offered in Chinese and foreign languages). 

　　International Undergraduate Programs (IUPs) in English

　　Two-year general education experience and two-year professional studies, the IUPs are designed to provide students with an opportunity to study general education courses and explore an academic field in depth. The IUPs currently offer five major fields: Economics, International Trade, Finance, Business Administration, and Marketing. More majors will be offered as enrollment expands such as Accounting and East Asian Studies (jointly offered with Nagoya University and Soongsil University)

　　Graduate Programs in English

　　International Graduate Programs in Applied Economics, International Business, International Development, and International Finance, International Law, and Actuarial Science and Risk Management are offered entirely in English。

　　The objective of the theses programs are to prepare students for positions in non-governmental and business sectors by providing them with an up-to-date theoretical background, analytical techniques and flexible, practical skills in a variety of fields。

　　IMBA Program

　　To meet the urgent needs, UIBE became the first university in China to offer International MBA programs in January, 2006. With all courses taught in English, the IMBA program is designed for international management elites who direct their future career in Asian and Chinese context. 

　　Various Training Programs

　　Intensive Chinese 

　　The School of International Education of UIBE takes the lead in China to launch the Chinese language training program. Intensive Chinese is elaborately designed for the students who hope to improve their Chinese proficiency in a short period of time. This program combines group class teaching with individual teaching, giving classroom instruction with extracurricular activities (debating, internship, speech contest, travelling, etc。).

　　Business Chinese

　　This program is divided into beginner, intermediate and advanced levels aimed at improving students’ spoken and listening proficiency in the fields of business Chinese, business writing and newspaper reading. At the end of this program, students will be able to attain higher Chinese proficiency level in business environment。

　　Chinese Business Studies Program Offered in Chinese

　　This program is offered by experienced professors from UIBE’s various schools and departments. The objective of the program is to allow students with high proficiency in Chinese to acquire a comprehensive knowledge of China’s current economic environment in a short period of time. 

　　Chinese Business and Cultural Studies Offered in English, Japanese and Korean

　　To promote a better understanding of the Chinese business and economic environment, the School of International Education of UIBE offers the programs in the fields of economics, business and culture to international students (Chinese Economic and Business Systems, Marketing in China, Insights into Chinese culture, etc。).

　　Facilities and Environment

　　UIBE has advanced digital language labs, Internet center, library and modern classrooms for study, and school infirmary, ATMs, laundry, supermarket for services, and football, basketball, volleyball, tennis, gymnasium for sports. There are Standard Rooms and Suites which together contain 550 rooms and more than 1200 beds.
