Sergio is not happy today. He just came back from visiting his father.
Sergio: I asked my father if I could borrow some money and he got angry.
Julia: What is wrong?
Sergio: I don't know. Lately, he has been getting angry whenever I ask him about finances, housing, or vocation. I am afraid to mention romance to him.
Julia: Must be a reason for it. Parents don't get angry if there isn't a good reason.
Sergio: That's not always true. Being a parent is the most difficult job in the world and you can't retire.
Julia: Have you asked your father for money before?
Sergio: Sure.
Julia: And he loaned you money before without problem, right?
Sergio: No problem. Now, all of a sudden, he gets angry.
Julia: Maybe it is because he wants you to be more independent. You cannot keep relying on him forever.
Sergio: I know but...it's just easier to get what I need from him.
Julia: I know but look at it this way, he won't always be around.
Sergio: True. I guess it's time to make my own way.
Julia: It's time to grow up a little.
