Brian: if one day, for example, that I have to study Korean for me to go to Korea?(比如有一天我到韩国去了,我也得学习韩语么)
Nikky: yes, and u don't have to change who u are.(是呀,你不用改变你自己)
Brian: I am still what I was. (今天的我跟昨天的我一样)
Nikky: just to adjust a few customs when in their presence, but u don't have to become Korean.(到他们那时,学习他们的一些习俗,你不必成为一个韩国人)
Brian: Korean is so hard for me to learn.(韩国语对我来说很困难)
Nikky: it's just a metaphor, not asking to do that.(这只是个比喻而已,不是要你去学韩国语)
Brian: I see, thanks.
Nikky: all the people should hit one nail right on the head, which is not take things so personally.(每个人都应该用手敲敲自己的头,告诉自己不要太个性化处事)
Brian: I know what u mean, I am not sensitive any more.(我知道你的意思了,我再也不那么敏感了)
Nikky: that's good.
Brian: That's one of the big, big issues that we;re talking about. I completely agree with it, and know i don't have to change who I am.
Nikky: yes.
Brian: but are u faking it? (你有时候会不会也伪装自己)
Nikky: no.
Brian: if u feel personal and don't act personal, are u faking it?(如果你心里想的是一回事,但却不表现出来,这难道不叫伪装么?)
Nikky: u can learn to understand, and there are all sorts of techniques, If somebody scream at me , probably I just think that he must have had a really tough time getting to work today, he must have had a fight with his wife, so u can shift it.(有时候可以这样想,这里面有很多技巧,比如说有人冲我大喊大叫,我就会想他今天工作一定遇到麻烦了,或者说他昨晚一定和老婆吵架了,这样想就可以把这个弯绕过来了)
Brian: my boss must have had a fight with his wife this morning.
Nikky: good u can think so.(很高兴你能这么想)
Brian: then I should stop complaining right now?
Nikky: u are not complaining actually, u are just telling me how u feel , and I just try to help u out of this.
Brian: u did it, nikky!
Nikky: and sometimes this makes sense, u know , when a man screamed at u last week, and today, he's being so lovely, what happened between last week and this week?(有时候事情的确是这样的,比如上星期朝你大喊的人今天不是对你很好么,那么上周和本周到底发生了什么呢?)
