　　Nikky: no, were fat.(不，是胖)

　　Brian: so you are a“fat”pretty woman?(那你是一个漂亮的‘胖'女孩喽)

　　Nikky: yes something like that.(大概是这个样子的吧)

　　Brian: me? you mean my weight? some 160 pounds , you know , as a Chinese, it 's a lot(我？你是说体重么，大概是160磅吧，你知道，这对于一个中国人来说，已经很多了)

　　Nikky: i'm 5 ft 3 1/2 inches tall, black hair, brown eyes, brown skin, 130 pds.(我有5英尺3.5英寸高，黑头发，褐色眼睛，褐色皮肤，130磅【注】好探究的人又会考证不是美国人么，怎么皮肤是褐色的呢)

　　Nikky: what have u been doing since last time i talked to you? have u gone out?(自从上次我们谈完话后，你做什么了，有没有出去呀)

　　Brian: no, just stay in my apt. (没有出去呀，只是待在寝室里)

　　Brian: i am 6 ft tall, black hair, black eyes, both black.(我有6英尺高，黑头发，黑眼睛，都是黑的,【注】后来才知道是算多了)

　　Nikky: wow, 6 ft i will need to look up at you or need ladder to face u.(喔，6英尺高，那我该仰视你了，或者我需要一个梯子)

　　Brian:　you do not need to do that, not that high, nearly, maybe, since i don't know the foot standard very well, i just calculate it , i'm 1.78 meter.(不必了，没有那么高的，只是近似而已，因为我不太了解你们的长度计量单位，只是算了一下，我有1.78米)

　　Nikky: well u still sound taller thn me, do u work all the time? sounds like u need to have some fun.(你还是听起来比我高很多，你老是工作么，应该去玩一玩)

　　Brian:　have you ever thought about be here in china for your Christmas, if no , just try(有没有想过到中国来过你的圣诞节，如果没有的话，试一试)

　　Nikky:　i would love too but isn't it expensive, hotels I mean(我很想来呀，但会不会很贵，我是指旅馆)

　　Brian: you do not have to worry about that! and you do not need to live in the hotel cuz the hotels are outrageously expensive, you can live in my apt , i get a extra room,, so you can use the money you save to invite me throughout the restaurants in shanghai. (你用不着担心这个，你不用住在旅馆里，因为旅馆贵的离谱，你可以住在我的寝室里，我还多出一个房间，这样你就可以把省下来的钱请我吃饭了，可以吃遍整个大上海的)

　　Nikky: that is wonderful idea thank you so much i have always wanted to visit your country.(主意真不错，谢谢你，我一直以来就想到中国来)

　　Brian: hope you mean it, besides you are a great help to me , ask you a question, have you ever studied another language?(希望你说的是真的，另外你对我帮助很大，问你一个问题，有没有学过另一门语言？)

　　Nikky: well i know some Spanish but not much but i wanted to learn Chinese.(嗯，我以前学过西班牙语，想知道怎么学中文)

　　Brian: really? so i can help you perhaps, you can count on me.(真的么？那我可以帮你的，你可以信任我！【注】u can count on me!你可以信任我)

　　在网上问身处异国的老外有没有学过中文，100个中有100个肯定没有学过，但如果你要跑到大学里去随便找个老外，情况就截然不同了。这个Nikky虽然也跟我说“but I wanted to learn Chinese”，千万不要把她的话当真，她真想学中文么？
