　　1、be remembered as 被作为……怀念

　　Lu Xun will always be remembered as a great writer by the people.

　　作为一个伟大的作家，鲁迅将永远被人们怀念。

　　2、become interested in 对……感兴趣

　　He became interested in football when he was a little boy.

　　当他是个很小的孩子的时候，他就对足球感兴趣了。

　　短语链接：be interested in 对……有兴趣; have/show/feel/express/take an interest in 对……感兴趣；lose interest in 对……失去兴趣

　　3、admit sb. to(into) 接纳某人进入

　　Suffering from burns, he was admitted into the hospital.

　　他因严重烧伤住进了医院。

　　admit还作“承认(事实或过错)”解，后接名词或动名词。

　　At last, he had no choice but to admit his mistake.

　　最后，他只得承认自己的错误。

　　He admitted breaking the rules.他承认违反了规则。

　　同义词链接：accept sb. into

　　4、live on 靠……为生

　　She still lives on her parents.她仍然靠父母生活。

　　5、succeed in sth./doing sth. 在……方面取得成功

　　He succeeded in getting a job.他顺利地找到了工作。

　　6、take a ... degree in 取得……学位

　　Madame Curie took the doctor's degree in physics in 1903.

　　居里夫人于1903年取得物理学博士学位。

　　7、after graduation 毕业后

　　What will you do after graduation?毕业后你干什么?

　　短语链接：before graduation毕业前；graduate from从……毕业；a graduate from……的毕业生

　　8、sb.marry sb. 某人娶某人(某人嫁给某人)

　　英语中marry是及物动词，须直接接名词或代词。

　　His sister married a foreigner.他姐姐嫁给了一个外国人。

　　短语链接：get married结婚(非及物，表动作)；get married to sb.和某人结婚；be married已结婚(表状态)

　　9、do research 搞研究

　　This is a newly built lab for them to do research.

　　这是一个为了让他们搞研究而新建的实验室。

　　注意如表达从事某方面的研究须加介词in或on。

　　10、give off 散发；放出(光、热、气味)

　　The flowers gave off a sweet fragrance.这些花朵散发出芳香。

　　同义词链接：give out; send out; send off; give off

　　11、even more radioactive 更强的放射性。这里的even用在形容词比较级前面，表示加强语气。可以加在比较级前面的副词还有much, a little, still, far, a lot, a bit等。例如：

　　He looks much younger than he is.他看起来比实际年龄要年轻得多。

　　12、in honor of 向……表示敬意；欢迎；为了纪念……

　　A banquet was held in honor of the visiting of Prime Minister.

　　为了欢迎总理的来访而举行了一个盛大宴会。

　　People built this monument in honor of those heroes who died in the war against the flood.人们修建这个纪念碑是为了纪念那些在抗洪斗争中献身的英雄们。

　　13、work on 致力于

　　What are you working on these days?这些天来你在忙什么?

　　14、devote ... to ...把……献于；把……用于；专心致志于……

　　(1)to在这里是介词，后面只能接名词或动名词。dovote后面可接time, one's life, one's energy, oneself等名词或代词，当接oneself时，表示“献身于……”。

　　Madame Curie devoted all her time to the study of radium.

　　居里夫人一生致力于镭的研究。

　　He devoted himself to the good of the people.他为人民的利益而献身。

　　(2)be devoted to后跟名词或动名词，意为“致力于，忠于”。

　　He was devoted to helping the disabled.他致力于帮助残疾人。

　　15、As months goes by, ...时间一个月一个月地过去了，……

　　As days went by, they had no news of their mother.

　　时间一天天地过去了，他们仍然没有他们妈妈的消息。

　　16、above all 首先；重要的是；尤其是；特别是

　　Above all, we'll develop economy to make our country rich.

　　首先我们要发展经济使我们国家富裕起来。

　　Never waste anything, and above all never waste time.

　　任何东西都不要浪费，尤其是时间。

　　辨析：above all强调事情的重要性，相当于most important of all,而at first或first of all则较注重事情的先后顺序。

　　17、believe in 信仰；信任；相信有……

　　I can't believe in his honesty.我不相信他诚实。

　　18、go through 穿过，用完，花完；仔细检查，审查；经历，遭受，忍受

　　Going through the forest, you'll get to my hometown.

　　穿过这个森林你就可以到达我的故乡。

　　18、share(in)... with sb.与某人分享……

　　I will share the joys and sorrows with you.我将与你同甘苦共患难。

　　19、make money out of 通过……挣钱

　　Madame Curie has never thought of making money out of her research.

　　居里夫人从来没有想过通过她的研究成果来挣钱。

　　20、主语+谓语+as if/though+句子……好像……

　　They talked as if they were close friends.

　　他们谈起话来好像亲密朋友。

　　21、belong to 属于

　　This success belongs to the whole team.这次成功属于全队。

　　注意:该短语没有进行时；没有被动语态。
