　　注意：定冠词the不能省略，类似短语还有the Summer Palace (颐和园)，the Great Wall (长城)，the Palace Museum (故宫)等。

　　1hear/see sb. doing sth.听见/看见某人正在做某事

　　hear和see后可以跟Ving形式作宾补，表示正在进行的动作；而跟不带to的动词不定式则表示做了某事，不强调正在进行。

　　Can you hear the boy singing in the next room?

　　你能听到这个小孩正在隔壁房间里唱歌吗?

　　I heard him pass by.我听到他走过去了。

　　2sound+adj.听起来……

　　sound作名词时意为“声音”，做动词时是系动词，意思是“听起来”，后面常跟形容词或like sth.作表语，构成系表结构。

　　The popular song sounded very wonderful.这首流行歌曲听起来很精彩。

　　That sounds like a good idea.那听起来像个好主意。

　　3be close to+n.接近……，和……联系密切

　　close在此为形容词，意为“接近的，紧密的”，to后跟名词。

　　His hometown is close to mine.他的老家离我的很近。

　　4in different shapes呈现出不同的形状

　　These kites were in different shapes.这些风筝形状各异。

　　5be like + n.像……

　　like在此为介词，意指“像”，该词引导的短语可以作状语；作谓语时，前面应有系动词，如be , look等。

　　You look like your mother.你看起来像你妈妈。

　　There's no place like home.没有什么地方像家那样好。

　　6continue doing sth./to do sth.继续做某事

　　Though wounded, he continued fighting as if nothing had happened.

　　他受了伤，却若无其事地继续战斗。

　　After that he continued to devote himself to the research work.

　　日记的格式

　　日记应该用第一人称来写，动词的时态多用过去时。在卷头写明日期及天气情况。一般在左上角写上当天的日期、星期；在右上角记上当天的天气情况。也可以在下面一行写日记小标题。
