初中英语中，动词填空题是中考的必考内容。抓住此类题目的时间"暗示语"，能收到事半功倍的效果。

　　一、时间状语暗示

　　1. She ______(come) here tomorrow.时间状语tomorrow暗示要用一般将来时，所以填will come。

　　2. The foreign friends ______(visit) the factory last night.

　　last night指过去的时间，故用一般过去时，所以填visited。

　　3. Li Ping ______(write) a composition every week.

　　every week表示经常性，故用一般现在时，而且主语Li Ping是第三人称单数，所以填writes。

　　二、前后动词暗示

　　1. Tom was ill and he ______(have) to stay in bed.

　　and前半句用的是一般过去时，and表示并列关系，所以后半句的谓语动词have也要用一般过去时，所以填had。

　　3. This morning Sam got up late. He put on his clothes and ______(hurry) to school without breakfast.

　　由并列连词and和前句got可知，hurry应当用过去式，所以填hurried。

　　三、特殊连词暗示

　　1. They______(know) each other since they were young boys.

　　含有since的句子，其从句常用一般过去时，而主句要用现在完成时，所以填have known。

　　2. He will go to watch the football match if he ______(have) time tomorrow.

　　if连接的句子，如果主句用一般将来时，其从句要用一般现在时表将来，所以填has。

　　3. The film ______(begin) when they got to the cinema.

　　when引导的从句中谓语动词用了一般过去时，而主句动作发生在从句动作之前，所以主句应当用过去完成时，所以填had begun。

　　四、特殊动词暗示

　　1. She kept me ______(wait) for two hours.

　　keep后的宾语补足语常用现在分词形式，即keep sb. doing sth.，所以填waiting。

　　2. The doctor told me ______(drink) more water.

　　tell要接带to的不定式作宾语补足语，即tell sb. to do sth.，所以填to drink。
