数词也有复数形式，那么数词复数形式怎样使用呢？主要有以下几种情况：

　　1.当hundred, thousand, million, billion等和of 连用，表示概数。例如：

　　Thousands of people died in the accident. 成千上万的人死于那次事故。

　　The old man raised hundreds of hens. 那位老人饲养了成千上万只母鸡。

　　注意：在这种用法中，不能与具体的数字连用。例如：不可说three millions of stars ,只可说three million stars。

　　2. 表示"一组，一排，一伙"的词组中。例如：

　　The students arrived in twos and threes. 学生们三三两两地到了。

　　They are playing the game in fives. 他们五人一组玩这个游戏。

　　Everything in the room is at sixes and sevens. 房间里的东西乱七八糟的。

　　3. 表示年龄"几十多岁"。例如：

　　She was already in her sixties. 她六十多岁了。

　　In his twenties, he became an officer. 在他二十多岁时，他就是一名军官。

　　4. 表示"年代"。例如：

　　In the 1990s, Hongkong and Macao returned back to China. 在20世纪90年代，香港与澳门回归祖国。

　　In the late fifties, he founded the hospital. 在五十年代晚期，他建了这家医院。

　　5. 在乘法运算的一种表达方式中。例如：

　　Two fives is ten. 2×5 =10

　　Three fifties is 150. 3x50 = 150

　　6. 表示"商品的优劣等级"。例如：

　　These are all thirds.这些都是三等品。

　　The teas are all firsts .这些茶都是上等品。

　　7. 在分数表达中，当分子大于"一"时，分母要加s。例如：

　　Two fifths of the students here are from country. 这儿2/5的学生来自农村。

　　Three quarters of the teachers there graduate from the university. 那儿3/4 的老师是毕业于那所大学。

　　8. 表示"钱币的面值"。例如：

　　Hundreds, fifties, twenties, tens, fives,twos, and ones is used in our country. 在我国，人民币的面值有100元、50元、20元、10元、5元、2元和1元的。

　　9. 在一些固定结构中。例如：

　　by twos and threes 三三两两地

　　in two twos 立即，一眨眼

　　sixes and sevens 七上八下，乱七八糟
