　　缩写填空解题技巧

　　熟读原文。掌握文章中的基本事实及细节，尽量体会文章的中心，注意句与句、段与段之间的关系；略读以把握缩写文章的主旨。注意人称、时态、因果关系、事件的先后等是否有变化，应怎么进行调整，简化难度。把与原文相同的词语或变化不大的词语填入相应的空白处，以简化试题的难度，消除一般的障碍；合理归纳，细致分析。由于短文缩写填空要求符合原文的意思，对于不能在原文中找出的词语就需要我们自己去分析理解和概括原文，同时找出适当的词语或表达方式以使缩写的短文符合原文意思；通查缩写短文，检查以下的内容：单词拼写是否有误、动词的时态语态是否正确、主谓是否一致、句与句之间的连接是否自然、与原文意思有无差异等方面。

　　Once upon a time, a rich man and a poor tailor(裁缝)happened to live in the same house.① The rich man lived upstairs and the poor tailor lived downstairs.

　　The tailor liked to sing while he was working. He sang one song after another. But the rich man liked to sleep and the singing disturbed him.

　　One day the rich man said to the tailor, “I will give you a bag full of money every day if you stop singing.”

　　“Fine.” said the poor tailor. And so the tailor stopped singing and he became richer and richer. But the more money he got from the rich man, the unhappier he became, because he wanted to sing again very much.②

　　Finally he brought all his money back to the rich man. “Here,” he said, “take all your money. I can't be happy if I can't sing.”

　　He gave the money back to the rich man and went on singing. He sang and sang. He was happy again.

　　“the +形容词的比较级，the +形容词的比较级”意思是“越……越……”。如：The harder you study, the better you make.你学习越努力，你的成绩就越好。
