　　A Happy Day

　　Li Ping is my friend. Last Sunday was her birthday. I went to buy a birthday present for her in the shop, but I found all the presents were so expensive. When I went into another shop, I saw a lot of boxes made by hand. Just then I had a good idea: "Why not make a little present for her by myself?"

　　After I went home, I began to make a birthday card for her. I spent about two hours making it. When I finished it, I felt very happy. In the evening I went to Li Ping's home with my present. On the way there I talked to myself, "Will Li Ping like my present?" I was a little afraid to give it to her because most of the presents were expensive. My friend Li Ping saw it and took my present. "My friend, Thank you for making the beautiful card for me," said Li Ping with a beautiful smile. I was so moved that tears came to my eyes.

　　A Woman and a Boy

　　One day a boy bought a pair of new shoes. He was so happy that he rode his bike very fast. Suddenly he saw a woman in front. He quickly stopped his bike, but it was too late. The woman was hit and nearly fell down. But the boy quickly got on the bike and rode his bike away in a hurry. About half an hour later the boy found his shoes missing. He thought the woman went away, so he went back for his new shoes. To his surprise he found the woman standing there with the shoes. She said to him, "Here are your shoes, young man. I am OK. Take good care of yourself."

　　The boy's face got red at once.
