Former James Bond stuntman Ken Wallis, MBE, wants to set a new mark of 140 mph over 3 kilometers in his amazing hand-built machine。

　　The retired RAF wing commander, who flew Little Nellie in the 1967 James Bond film You Only Live Twice, set the world speed record in 2002 when his autogiro reached 129.1 mph。

　　沃利斯是英国皇家空军中校，现已退休，曾在2002年驾驶自己的旋翼飞机以每小时129.1英里的速度成为世界之最。

　　He wants to attempt a new world-aviation record this year but Civil Aviation Authority rules in Britain limit his machine to just 70mph. So he will be forced to travel to France or America to make the record attempt。

　　今年老人想打破原有记录，遗憾的是，英国在2002年颁布禁令，规定旋翼飞机最高时速不得超过70英里。所以他不得不选择法国或美国来完成壮举。

　　Wallis said:" They are one of the safest machines to fly because, if the engine stops, the rotors keep turning and you can land."

　　Wing Cmdr Wallis has been a pilot for 73 years. He keeps 20 autogiros in a mini hangar at his home in Norfolk。

　　But one of his most exciting experiences was as the stunt for Sean Connery in You Only Live Twice, dodging bullets from helicopters in his heavily armored aircraft。
