酝酿已久的北京大学[微博] “中学校长实名推荐制”终于正式亮相，全国39所中学获得北大2010年“校长实名推荐”资质。目前北大将开始审核推荐生资料。“一考定终身”已然广为诟病，但“校长实名推荐制”也触动了很多人的神经，引发人们的热议。

　　Hong Xinge, from Tianyi High School in Wuxi, is believed to be the youngest of 90 students nationwide to receive nominations from their headmasters to attend Peking University。

　　无锡市天一中学的洪欣格据称是全国90名获得北大校长推荐名额的学生中年龄最小的一位。

　　文中的nominations from their headmasters就是指“校长推荐”，也可以用recommendation from headmaster来表示。这个pilot program(试点计划)是university entrance system(高考[微博]制度)改革的一次尝试，例如此次入选的洪欣格就被大家公认为all-rounder(全才、通才)。她在获得推荐名额后，会去这座world-renowned institution(世界知名学府)参加面试。

　　在secondary education(中学教育)之后，没能参加higher education(高等教育)的很多人还会选择接受further education(继续教育)。有身体障碍或学习障碍的儿童还可以参加special education(特殊教育)。而一个人的educational background(教育背景)则事关职业发展。
