¡¡¡¡A Marriage between Fashion and Tradition

¡¡¡¡It is a really interesting picture. In front of a rather old house, an old Tibetan is sitting on the ground before a temple, legs crossed in a traditional way, dressed as Tibetan people have been dressed generations ago. While beside him, there stands an entirely distinct girl in an attractive posture, who is modern and dressed in fashion. The distinction between the Tibetan costume and the girl¬ðs dress is like that between heaven and hell.

¡¡¡¡It seems that tradition and fashion are contradicting. Actually, tradition is the source of fashion and fashion is the development of tradition. Nowadays, more and more people are trying their best catch up with the pace of fashion. One the other side, however, people are attaching more and more attention and value to traditional things. It is not surprising that more and more people are learning Tai Jiquan (slow-motion Chinese boxing) and wearing traditional Chinese dresses.

¡¡¡¡The combination or even the mere coexistence of tradition and fashion will provide us with a more beautiful world. It is the marriage of different cultures. It is hopeful that we will get our life enriched by the blessing baby of this special marriage. Anyway, a colorful world will be more attractive than one with no more than one color. Maybe this is the reason why we can call the world a village of globe. If the village is so peaceful with all kinds of fancy things, why cannot we open our arms and embrace it?
