　　有些被动式不能完全按顺序翻译，要转换个别句子的成分。例如:1）把原句的主语译作宾语，例如:

　　经典例题283 Thrilling scream will be heard when the car runs at an overwhelmingly high speed and toward the edge of a precipice.

　　参考译文 当那汽车以势不可挡的高速度向着悬崖的边缘急驰时，你可以听到令人毛骨悚然的尖叫声。

　　经典例题284 It has to be pointed out that one and the same word may have different meanings in different branches of science and technology.

　　参考译文 必须指出:同一个词在不同的学科和技术中可以有不同的含义。

　　2）把主语并入谓语一起译:

　　英语中有些包含有名词的动词短语如take care，pay attention to等变成被动式时可以用其中的名词作主语，汉语没有这种句子，翻译时就要把主语和谓语合并，按原动词短语的意思译，如:

　　参考译文 注意不要破坏建筑物。

　　经典例题286 Attention should be paid to your handwriting.

　　参考译文 应该注意你的书写。

　　经典例题287 Account should be taken of the low melting point of this substance.

　　参考译文 应该考虑到这种物质的熔点低。

　　3）用句子的另一部分作主语:

　　分析:该句把原文by短语译成主语。

　　参考译文 科学工作者已经发现了一种新物质。

　　经典例题289 The numerical data concerned are provided in the last part of the paper.

　　分析:该句把原文的状语“in the last part of the paper”译成主语。

　　参考译文 论文的最后一部分提供了有关的数据资料。

　　经典例题290 They were seen repairing the machine.

　　分析:该句用补充行为者作主语。

　　参考译文 有人看见他们在修理机器。
