与企业共同建立学生实践及就业平台

　　该项目自建立以来，受到了业界的广泛关注，多家企业已与我院建立了合作关系，为在校生的实习实践、毕业生的就业提供了广阔的平台。

　　五、毕业生去向

　　在已毕业的学生中，有的赴美国迈阿密FIU校本部继续攻读酒店管理专业的硕士学位；有的考取了美国康奈尔大学、美国内华达拉斯维加斯大学、英国帝国理工学院等著名大学的硕士研究生；其余大部分毕业生均从事于国际著名酒店集团旗下的酒店企业、酒店管理顾问公司、游轮公司、会展服务公司及其他服务性企业；另外，也有同学考取了国家和地方公务员。毕业生良好的职业精神、职业能力和职业素质，丰富的专业实践经验，流利的英语沟通能力，受到用人单位的广泛好评。

　　六、获得的荣誉

　　经过六年的改革探索，我们提出并实践了国际酒店管理人才培养模式的创新、尝试了学生职业素质养成及职业能力培养计划、课堂教学及实验课教学模式改革、中美共享的师资队伍建设、与企业双赢合作模式的探索等一系列的改革与创新尝试，取得了良好的阶段性成果：2010年12月学院获得第三届中国酒店十佳旅游院校特殊贡献“伯乐奖”；2010年5月，在迈点网酒店人最喜爱的十大品牌大型网络评选活动中荣获“十大最受酒店人欢迎的国际院校奖”； 2009年11月，学院被国际酒店领袖机构评选为“中国酒店人力资源管理伯乐奖”院校最佳贡献奖；2009年11月，被教育部授予国际酒店人才培养创新实验区；2009年6月，学院被中国饭店论坛评为2008-2009年度中国旅游和酒店优秀人才培养基地；2009年5月，该项目的“国际酒店管理人才创新模式研究与实践”获得天津市教学成果二等奖；2008年9月，该项目顺利通过美国南方教育委员会的评估并获得好评；2008年1月，该项目获得了教育部国家一类特色专业建设基地。

　　合作项目的人才培养模式和阶段性成果得到了国内外媒体的广泛关注，来自新华社、光明日报、人民日报、中国教育报、中国旅游报、今晚报、每日新报、香港大公报、美国迈阿密太阳报、中央电视台、天津电视台等纷纷来我院采访报道。

　　I. Brief Introduction

　　TUC-FIU Cooperative School of Hospitality Management is a program jointly operated by Tianjin University of Commerce in China (TUC for short) and Florida International University in the United States (FIU for short)， offering four-year undergraduate education and awarding double bachelor degrees. Graduates from this program are awarded Undergraduate Certificate and Bachelor Degree of Management by TUC and Bachelor of Science Degree in Hospitality Management by FIU。

　　FIU is one of 151 research universities among more than 5000 American universities, and also one of 20 largest universities in America. FIU offers more than 180 bachelor’s, master's, and doctoral degree programs. The School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, a flagship major of FIU, provides the education of hospitality, catering and tourism management. It is recognized as one of the most famous schools of hospitality and tourism management all over the world, and is always ranked at top 5 in various ratings. Equivalent with Cornell University in terms of reputation within the industry, it has trained a large number of qualified hospitality and tourism management personnel。

　　The program achieves rapid progress with the high value and the great support of the leaders from Tianjin municipal government, Tianjin municipal Education Commission, and Tianjin Tourism Bureau. In April of 2004, the two universities signed cooperation agreement in Tianjin University of Commerce. In June of the same year, the program was chartered by the Academic Degrees Committee of the State Council and started to recruit students who met requirement in College Entrance Examination in 2005. At present, it has grown to more than one thousand students on campus。

　　II. Cooperation Model

　　The two universities invest and cooperate both in facilities establishment and teaching resources consistency。

　　TUC invested 220 million to design and establish a modern international cooperative school building which combines teaching, experimenting, administration, accommodation and dining, multiple functions together. The school established seven laboratories including Laboratory of Instructional Observation, Luncheon Laboratory, Asian Kitchen, Laboratory of Wine Appreciation, and Experimental Restaurant and also set up Laboratory of Hospitality Management Information and Technology, Audio Room, Multimedia Classroom, Computer Center, Harvard Case Research Office, and so on. The school provides first-rated facilities support for the cultivation of talents。

　　FIU is responsible for the last two years Specialized Courses and teaching management. During last two years, the school carries out the same teaching syllabus, adopts same exam questions and grading policy, same teaching evaluation system, same on-line teaching management, supplies same faculties and uses same English version textbooks, all of which guarantee the quality of talents cultivated by this program。

　　III. Talents Cultivation Features

　　Insisting on the guidance of the demands of international market, the School is dedicated to cultivating the students into specialized talents with international hospitality management potential, middle and advanced level, who are equipped with good physical and mental health, outstanding qualities, rigorous style, solid basic knowledge, the spirit of practice and innovation, the knowledge structure required by modern tourism corporations, operational ability and comparative high professional qualities。

　　In the background of international hospitality industry market, the School uses educational experience of American hospitality management major for reference and then conducts revolutionary exploration in talents cultivation mode according to current situation of this major in China. The mode impacts traditional educational concept of the major of hospitality management, highlights the innovation of cultivation of international and professional talents, and intensifies the education of professional abilities and qualities of students. In the meantime, it makes breakthrough in many aspects, such as the mode and plan of talents cultivation, the mode of teaching and management, faculty construction, the cultivation of the students’ professional competence, win-win cooperative mode with companies。
