Brian: these days I am staying with one of my college mates, she is here in shanghai to find a job
Nikky: ur new girl friend?
Brian: no, she is my female friend
Nikky: does she find one?
Brian: not yet
Nikky: why
Brian: I don't know, probably cuz her major
Nikky: what's her major then?
Brian: material engineering(材料工程学), just the same as me
Nikky: that's a quite hot major in America
Brian: it is, but the point is that the material engineering is sth that she knows absolutely nothing about
Nikky: excuse me?
Brian: she didn't have any interest in this material field
Nikky: so what's her interest?
Brian: I don't know, she is just my female friend not my girl friend, 2 grades lower than me in the same college, and I came to know her in the college days
Nikky: u've been known each other for a long time?
Brian: actually not, we lost contact for a long time, because I am here in shanghai,
and nikky, I just wonder how the common Americans get the job? Just resumes, agencies and job advertisements?
