  office: here means a town's or city's legal department(负责地方或州的法律事务的机构)

  track record: In this case,shavingsa track record refers to someone's past success or failure in a certain field or area. Take an actor such as Harrison Ford, who had a good track record in his early-mid career, when he seldom chose an unsuccessful acting role, but lately his track record has been relatively bad.(过去成功或失败的纪录/经历)

  用法:My track record in scoring is pretty good-I average about a goal every soccer game.

  我进球得分的记录相当不错--平均每场足球比赛我进一个球。

  airborne: In this scenario, airborne means that you are flying in the air, in an airplane, helicopter or whatever. (乘飞机飞行过程中)

  用法:I will be airborne this time tomorrow, and on my way to Australia with Qantas Airlines.

  我明天这个时候会坐在飞机上--乘Qantas航空公司的班机飞往澳大利亚。

  cables:电缆或钢索

  over:表示"通话完毕",是无线电通话中一方明确告知对方自己讲话结束、对方可以开始讲话的标志用语。

  用法:"I'm announcing an emergency landing of a KLM jet at JFK airport. Over."

  "荷兰航空公司喷气式飞机向肯尼迪机场请求紧急着陆。通话完毕。"
