But if you’re a woman, it seems impressing an employer can be more about having a flawless manicure and a blow dry. 但如果你是一位女性，貌似有时更能打动老板的是无瑕疵的美甲和头发的造型。
Yesterday a panel of professionals admitted that they judged interview candidates on their appearance. 昨天一组专业人士承认他们依据外表来判断面试者。
Speaking at the Vogue Festival in London, the magazine’s editor-at-large Fiona Golfar said: ‘I think you can add a million dollars to your look if you get a good blow dry, get your colour done, get a manicure. 《VOGUE》杂志资深编辑菲奥娜·高尔法在伦敦年度时尚盛宴上说：“我认为如果你们弄个好发型、焗好颜色、做个美甲的话，会给你的外表增加100万美元的价值。”
‘You think about dressing for success and it’s not just the clothes you put on, it’s the whole picture. And I think having good hair is a very easy thing to do, having your nails look great.’ “穿着得体不仅仅是指你身上穿的衣服，还有你全身的打扮。而且我认为好发型是很容易弄的，并且也要让你的指甲看起来很棒”。

The Guess and Jaeger model, who is also a Vogue contributing editor, said: ‘It’s not about having a huge budget, it’s about finding those things that make you feel safe.
