  B

Below are introductions to five U.S. national parks.

Acadia
National
Park,
Maine

The Attraction: With the highest mountains on the U.S. Atlantic coast, deserted offshore islands and 41 miles of shoreline, it is easy to understand how Acadia became the only national park in the northeast. Hiking (徒步旅行) or driving to the top of 1,532-foot Cadillac Mountain enables you to enjoy the view of Frenchman Bay (海湾).
When to Go: Head to Acadia during the fall, when the trees in the park turn red, orange and yellow.

Bryce
Canyon
National
Park,
Utah

The Attraction: Utah’s Bryce Canyon (峡谷) is one of the few national parks where you look down with great admiration, instead of up at mountains. Here, hundreds of colorful rocks stand at attention like soldiers.
When to Go: Summer is a good time to go. Bryce at 8,000 to 9,000 feet high keeps the park fairly cool.

Grand
Canyon
National
Park,
Arizona

The Attraction: Looking down at the huge hole in the earth that forms a mile-deep canyon, visitors to Arizona’s Grand Canyon enjoy an amazing view. They can walk 500 feet down along the path, or try the horse ride for something different.
When to Go: From mid-September to October, the temperature is below 24℃, much cooler than Arizona in the summer.

Olympic
National
Park,
Washington

The Attraction: Washington’s Olympic National Park is often referred to as three parks in one, combining Pacific Ocean coastline, high mountains and rain forest. Try the Kalaloch Beaches for a day hike. In the high country, paths lead you to above-treeline walks with beautiful views.
When to Go: August and September are the driest months at Olympic without clouds and fog, thus offering the best view.

Shenandoah
National
Park,
Virginia

The Attraction: Shenandoah National Park is a super mix of water, valley and high mountains. Drive 105 miles on the high mountain roads, and you’ll see many of the park’s well-known hikes. It is home to six waterfalls, too.
When to Go: Fall is even more popular than summer at Shenandoah. Head there in the spring, however, and the weather’s a bit cooler, the wildflowers are coming out, and it’s much more peaceful.
