再来看另外一个例子：

　　Question: Why do you want to pursue a doctor's degree?

　　引出话题，争取让VO感兴趣：

　　Frankly, I don’t want any doctoral degree. I want and only want CMU’s PhD for my future graduate study. (Pause first, continue if the VO is interested)

　　先简单地说一句总结的话，能继续就继续：

　　Because the PhD study at CMU can best fit my long-term career goal.

　　(if possible to say, continue: Only the PhD program at CMU can best meet my intellectual curiosity and demand)

　　具体解释上一句，也引出 China，为归国计划作铺垫:

　　My interests are in multi-agent system (a branch of computer science, 若VO不解，简单解释一下) which CMU is the best in the world. And CMU can give the best education in this area. This area is very promising in China in the next 10 years.

　　如果还可以继续，加上自己是怎么知道CMU的，说说CMU和robocup：

　　My research team has won world 2nd place in RoboCup 2002 in Japan. (Showing certificate to VO) CMU is the initiator of RoboCup. CMU won world champions many times in nearly all the leagues of RoboCup (If VO wants to know, then saying, RoboCup is an International contest and it is taken as tehtest bed of multi-agent system, Show him the printed web pages of RoboCup introduction and awards winner page).

　　结论：

　　Because CMU’s program is the best fit for me, I want to pursue a doctor’s degree in CMU.

　　如果VO不打断，就直接把归国计划说了。

　　3、Evaluation Form：

　　大家都知道，如果你去找工作，面试官手中会有一个evaluation form，上面有需要考察你的问题，你的表现如何，面试官对你的评价如何等等。签证时，VO手中没有这样的evaluation form，但是无疑他们心里或者说潜意识里是有这样一张表的，如果所有选项里你都得到A的评价，你的签证还会有什么问题呢？
