3) 试说明你的看法/结论 Can Success Be Measured by Money? Many people now think that money is the first important thing in their life. They think that money can talk and make the mare go. In their eyes, if one can make a lot of money, he is successful, no matter what means he may use to gain the money. In spite of this there are still some others who hold different opinions. Money does not mean everything. Accordingly, it can not be used to measure whether one is successful or not. They have other measures — the benefit one brings to this world and the influence he may cause on others. I am in favor of the latter. If one is some of , he should bring benefit directly or indirectly to this world. He should influence others positively. Can we say that some of the notorious corrupt officials were successful while the world famous musician Beethoven not though he suffered great poverty in his lifetime? Apparently not. We can see that success can not be measured by money. Many eople have such kind of view that their failures are due to the absence of a good chance. According to their opinions, the key to success is opportunity. On the other hand, other people hold the opposite idea that their own wisdom and diligence are the one and only way to success. For example, successful businessmen have often worked long hours in their youth. Chance goes away swiftly if we can't grasp it when it passes by. What can we do with it and what can we depend on? In my opinion, the answer lies in our own wisdom and diligence. We have to work hard and ，at the same time， grasp the opportunity. In fact, nobody can succeed without any preparation even if he gets a good opportunity. They believe that wealth means everything. For one thing, wealth can ensure them a comfortable life. They can enjoy fashionable clothes, Luxurious houses etc, for example, wealth can also make them feel superior to the common people. However, as far as I'm concerned, I would prefer health to wealth. On the one hand, as to the people who are rich, they don't need to work hard, since they can afford everything they dream of. As a result, they will feel dull about life. People who are healthy, on the other hand, can make money by their hands and can enjoy the fruit of labor. Consequently, it leads to meaningful and colorful life. In conclusion, health is more important than wealth. Those who are rich but lose their health are no more happy and fortunate than who are poor. If you want your wish to come true, health is the most important ingredient of your success. We hear some people have got fruitful results, but hardly realize that they had been making painstaking efforts before they won success. Just as we can't reach the terminal of the long distance run without trying hard and having the determination to win, we can't get to our destination without firm resolution and great willpower. Business success requires an unusual amount of energy and the courage to overcome difficulties. So it is important for us to have great resolution and to hold on to the end under any circumstances. Some people tend to be afraid of difficulties. When difficulties arose, they would complain that they were born not in the right place at the right time and claim the success factor is largely a matter of luck. Such people don't know the key factor of success — the will. In short, the proverb “Where there is a will, there is a way" is true of us all. Let's make up our minds, stick to it and surely we'll succeed in our career. As we are more and more familiar with this medical term, this question becomes urgent to discuss. Euthansia refers painless killing of people who are incurably ill or very old. Some people hold the view that Euthansia is a kind of murder, for it tramples on humans' right to live. They think that every individual has the right to enjoy life, which should not be terminated by outer forces. Euthansia imposed on the individual denies his chance to survive. So it’s definitely inhumane. However, other people regard Euthansia as a respect to the patient's choice. They say that just as a person has his right to enjoy life, he also has the choice to end his life when life becomes a complete torture. In fact, they claim Euthansia not only ends the pains of the patient but also save his relatives from the sea of trouble. As far as I am concerned, I suggest a cautious and thoughtful use of Euthansia. It should be a decision seriously made by the patient, relatives and doctors. Only when the patient is trapped in an extreme hopeless state and beyond any hope of recovery or survival, can doctors give the final say to Euthansia or not. Anyway, terminating a human's life when necessary is also humane to the patient himself as well as to people around him. Some people hold that advertisements play a very important role in society, which create mass markets for products and supply the most direct and detailed information on goods, services, culture, employment and so on. What's more, advertising itself is a business that has provided a great number of jobs, and equally imortant is that it is a process of artistic creation, thus welldesigned advertisements make great difference to a drab wall or newspapers. However, there are still a lot of others who believe that advertisements are unnecessary. They take it for granted that highquality commodities naturally attract most customers. Besides, advertisements of the same type of things are often shown one after another, which are so confusing that people do not know which product they should choose. In my opinion, advertisements are indispensable to our daily life and help a lot in maintaining the economic prosperity of a country. On the other hand, there are some fake advertisements which cheat consumers and we must always be on guard against them. Reading th e chart we can find that the average number of hours a student spends on the Net per week has increased dramatically. In 1996, it was less than 2 hours. In 1998,it increased to almost 4 hours, and in 2000,the number climbed to 8 hours. When it comes to 2002,the number soars to 16 hours. Obviously internet is penetrating our daily life. There are several reasons contributing to this fact. First, easy access to the Net attracts more and more students. The quick spread of personal computers, telephones and internet cafes make it easy to go online. In addition, internet facilitates us in many aspects of life. Cyber space offers you libraries, shopping malls,booking offices, banks, nearly everything necessary in daily life. A click on the mouse means your desire is fulfilled. Still another reason comes from the requirement for the development of the nation. Many people believe the Net is the perfect vehicle to transport China into and through the 21st century. If one is not competitive at all, he will confront the danger of being left stranded. And only when one is more and more competitive—edged, cooperative he will be simultaneously. As far as I'm concerned, I also support the above idea that competition accounts for a large part in terms of one's success. To be competitive, one should be ready to endure hardships and pay more efforts. Thus he could find partners more easily and strengthen himself further. Whether you admit it or not, pressure is everywhere in life and has become a problem we have no way to avoid. Different people adopt quite opposite attitudes towards pressure. Some are anxious about pressure and resort to constant complaints. Life is bleak in their eyes because time is always pressing, examinations are tough and the job is stressful.
