针对当前医疗纠纷和医患矛盾仍较突出的情况，公安部建议各级各类医院进一步加强自身建设，从源头上预防和减少各类矛盾纠纷，增进医患沟通，畅通投诉渠道，妥善解决患者有关诉求。同时，进一步健全医患纠纷调处机制，公开、公平妥善化解矛盾。

　　Patient-doctor relationships是“医患关系”，patient-doctor disputes就是“医患纠纷”，也叫medical disputes。紧张的医患关系可用tense/strained patient-doctor relationships表示。

　　近期频发的袭医事件(attacks on medical workers)引发公众和有关部门对于医务人员及医院安全问题的讨论。有人认为，要彻底改善医患关系，需要进一步加快医疗体制改革(patient-doctor relationships)，改进医保体制(improving medical insurance system)等。
