　　I will study for PhD degree in Harvard School of Public Health.

　　Yes. Of course.

　　5) When/where did you get your BS/MS?

　　I have just passed the defense for my graduate thesis on June 6th.

　　6) What/where are you studying now?

　　Bayes Statistics

　　7) How long will you study in USA?

　　I think about five years

　　8) Have you any scholarship?

　　Yes. I got full finance support.

　　9) What do you want to study in USA?

　　Biostatistics

　　10) What do you do with your work for BS/MS/PhD?

　　I am working mainly on the Bayes, Empirical Bayes Estimation and Test problem.

　　11) What is your purpose for the Visa?

　　I need the Visa to go to HSPH for study.

　　12) What is your academic background?

　　I am a master degree graduate student in USTC.

　　13) How do you know this Univ.?

　　I think there are very few men who do not know Harvard, right?

　　14) What is your plan? What will you do after graduation?

　　I am sure with the PhD degree of Biostatistics from Harvard, I have much advantage in finding a research position in government academe or a leading corporation in China, to do some biostatistics research and application work for my home country.

　　While in the US, unlike China, this area is saturated and has been studied for about fifty years. Biostatistics is a newest application research area in China. As a developing country, China is paying more and more attention to the problem of public health. There is a burning need in China for the experts with good knowledge of biostatistics to collect information, make mathematical model, do data analysis. For example, experts of biostatistics are indispensably in the process of validating the effect and security of the newly developed medicine

　　You know, many leading research-based pharmaceutical company like GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), Bayer and Roche pay great attentions to put their medicine into Chinese Market, for example medicine for AIDS. What is more, they are in great demands of the experts in the area of biostatistics. But in fact, such experts are very scarce in China. So it will be quite easy for me to seek a position in this area in those companies after graduation from Harvard.

　　15) Give me three reasons that you will come back to China?

　　First, my goal is to do some application of Biostatistics for people's life. So I am certain I should come back to my home country, right?

　　Second, you know, Biostatistics has been studied for many years in America, so the market demand for its application is saturated. But in China, it is a newest area of application.

　　At last, I am the only child of my parents. I should stay in China with them.

　　16) Can you explain why 90% Chinese students didn't come back?
