　　I will pursue my doctorate degree in finance in The State University of New York, at Buffalo

　　My major is finance. I will concentrate on corporate governance.

　　I got my bachelor's degree in International economics in Nankai University in 1998. And I will obtain my MBA degree from Tsinghua University in this July.

　　I am a second year Tsinghua MBA student, with a concentration on finance. I have done extensive coursework on finance and my graduation thesis is about the follow-up integration process after a corporate merger & acquisition transaction.

　　7) How long will you study in USA?

　　4 to 5 years, depending on my progress. In the first 2 or 3 years, I will do coursework on finance theory. In the following 2-3 years, I will make intensive research on my chosen area, corporate governance.

　　8) Have you any scholarship?

　　The school offered me a full financial aid, Joseph A. Alutto Fellowship, for 4 years. It's a special scholarship only awarded to outstanding PhD students.

　　Finance, with a concentration on corporate governance.

　　10) What do you do with your work for BS/MS/PhD?

　　My career is to be a financial specialist in corporate merger & acquisition transactions in domestic market. So after my graduation in the States, I will come back China, find a good position in a domestic financial firm. Actually I have been working with 2 domestic financial firms since last Nov. First one is China Merchants Security Co. Ltd. The second one is Puttin Investment Management Co. I have talked my plan with my bosses in these 2 companies. They both highly appreciate my decision. 　　I need F-1 Visa to go to the States to pursue my doctorate degree in The State University of New York, at Buffalo.

　　During my undergraduate years in Nankai University, I built solid foundation in economics theories and mathematics. During the past 2 years in Tsinghua, I did extensive research on finance. My MBA graduation thesis is about the follow-up integration process after a corporate merger & acquisition transaction. And I will get my MBA degree from Tsinghua University in the coming July.

　　When I chose my application target, I carefully studied all of the top fifty American business school's PhD programs. I only applied 5 schools that fit me very well, including Purdue, MIT, Rochester, Boston College and Buffalo. Buffalo gave me the offer.
